Picture this: Your team's workspace is packed with documents. Finance reports, marketing plans, executive strategy notes, and public project updates. Not everyone should see everything. Junior staff shouldn’t access executive briefings. Contractors shouldn’t view internal strategy documents.
The usual workaround? Create separate workspaces. One for executives, one for finance, one for general staff. Now you're managing multiple spaces, duplicating documents, and your teams are working in silos.
What if you could keep everyone together but control access?
Tag-based access control in Objective Connect lets you do exactly that. Keep everyone in one workspace while ensuring every single sensitive document reaches only the right eyes.
How tagging works
Your finance team uploads a new budget report to the Project Alpha workspace. They tag it as Budget. Instantly, the report is visible to finance managers but hidden from other participants.
How? Your administrator has already created the tags and set the policy: only users tagged Finance can view documents tagged Budget. Once that's in place, access control happens every time a document is tagged.
Finance managers see the budget report immediately. Other participants continue accessing project plans and general updates. Everyone works in the same workspace, but each person sees only what's relevant to them.
Use tags your way: Tags work without policies. Use them to add context and improve search across workspaces.
Built to scale
- Add 100 confidential documents? Tag them once, and they are instantly secure.
- Promote someone to manager? Update their tag and they instantly access everything they need.
