Information and Documentation - Records Management
Published by ISO (International Organization for Standardization), ISO 15489, focuses on the business principles behind records management and how organisations can establish a framework to enable a comprehensive records management program.
While there is currently no accreditation process for suppliers of records management solutions to meet ISO 15489, Objective products enable organisations to meet the requirements of this standard.
A copy of the standard can be purchased from the ISO website.
Monolingual Thesauri
In satisfying requirements for ISO 15489, Objective supports thesauri that meet ISO 2788.
The UK's public sector looks to The National Archives (TNA) when considering implementing an Electronic Records Management (ERM) solution to ensure that information held by the organisation is managed by the most effective solutions and in the most efficient and appropriate ways. TNA provides an effective safeguard for public sector organisations needing to invest in ERM or more typically Enterprise Content Management (ECM), but are unsure of where to begin.

Records Management
Standards Australia have published two Australian Standards on Records Management.
AS ISO 15489.1 Records Management - Part 1: General
AS ISO 15489.2 Records Management - Part 2: Guidelines
The standards are an Australian codification of the International Standard on Records Management, ISO 15489, approved in October 2001, representing international best practice for recordkeeping.
These documents replace Australian Standard, AS 4390-1996: Records Management. They are, however, based on AS 4390 and so there is significant continuity between the standards.
The standard is endorsed by the National Archives of Australia (NAA) who promote it as a model for best practice recordkeeping throughout Commonwealth Government departments.
Victorian Electronic Records Strategy

Objective was the first vendor to have its enterprise content management solution, Objective 7, fully certified against all the Victorian Electronic Record strategy (VERS) Version 2 Specifications 1 through 5 by the Public Record Office of Victoria (PROV).
VERS is a framework of standards for archiving electronic records created or managed by the Victorian government. The standard is designed to ensure these records can be accessed and read at any point in the future, regardless of their origin, format or the software program that created them.
