Objective awarded US Defence Certification

Leading enterprise content management (ECM) company, Objective Corporation (ASX:OCL), today announced that its product, Objective 7 had been re-tested and certified by the US Department of Defence (DOD) against the military records management specification, US DOD 5015.2-STD.

The specification defines exhaustive requirements based on operational, regulatory and legal needs that must be met by Records Management Application (RMA) software used by the DOD and related agencies.

With this achievement, Objective is one of the few vendors currently certified in both Chapter 2 (Mandatory Requirements) and Chapter 4 (Management of Classified Records) for Records Management.

Classification in Chapter 4 involved meeting stringent security requirements to support classified records.

“Organisations globally continue to face increasingly strict security compliance requirements for records management,” said Mr Walls, CEO Asia Pacific, Objective Corporation.

Where compliance with DOD 5015.2 is mandatory for RMAs in US Defence organisations, adoption of the standard has increased by government and private sector organisations world-wide.

“Achieving this certification again, illustrates our commitment to customers who operate in highly secure environments within justice, defence and intelligence agencies,” said Mr Walls.

This is the third time Objective has achieved DOD 5015.2 certification. The standard’s requirements have evolved since Objective’s initial certification in 2000.

“We are dedicated to delivering solutions that comply with international standards as they emerge and evolve. Objective’s ongoing investment in research and development focuses on broadening our product offering and building on our existing strengths to ensure our solutions continue to meet future global market demand,” said Mr Walls.
