Objective Showcases Scottish Successes At Government Computing Scotland

Objective is vendor of choice for Scottish public
sector organisations

Objective Corporation will unveil the secrets of its success among Scottish public sector organisations at this years Government Computing Scotland event.

Objective is a provider of leading enterprise content management solutions, an area of increasing interest and importance to public sector organisations in light of regulations such the Freedom of Information Act and the Data Protection Act. The effective management of electronic records and documents created via websites is also key as local government bodies seek to control costs and provide the online services to citizens the government is pushing for.

Current customers include the Scottish Executive, Scottish Natural Heritage and General Registers of Scotland among others.

“Scottish public sector organisations can pride themselves on the fact that they are the leading lights in the UK with regard to effective and efficient document and records management,” said Gary Fisher, CEO Europe.

“Documentation in the public sector, as in the private sector, is increasing in volume and at the same time is being ever more tightly regulated. With additional issues of privacy and e-government putting pressure on local government bodies, how they manage records and documents in whatever form is becoming a key priority. We pride ourselves on not only providing the technology that can help but also the expertise and support that is required to resolve these complex problems.”, Fisher concludes.

Day two of the event will focus on information management and pose questions on how cost-effective management of information can be delivered in a way that supports government departments, agencies, local government and citizens. Objective will take the stage with The Scottish Executive and LogicaCMG to share how they have been successful in delivering efficient and effective outcomes.
