| 26 July 2001 Objective Corporation announces contract with UniSuper
Sydney, AUSTRALIA --- Leading knowledge and process management company,
Objective Corporation Limited (ASX: OCL), today announced a new contract
to provide an enterprise-wide solution to UniSuper. UniSuper is one of Australia's largest superannuation funds. It provides
superannuation services to employees of Australian universities. The fund
has more than 200,000 members and has around $8.5 billion in funds under
management. UniSuper required a solution that would provide faster and
more efficient processing and retrieval of all internal and external documents. Previously UniSuper had relied on a manual, paper-based correspondence
management system. Moving to an electronic document management system
is intended to provide a quantum leap in customer service, productivity
and effectiveness for UniSuper. The first stage of the solution will be implemented within the Membership
Services division of UniSuper. To ensure effective change management and
user acceptance, Objective consultants are working closely with UniSuper
to implement a "proof of concept" using a limited range of incoming
forms. This will allow the concepts to be tested in a strictly controlled
production environment and provide users with a real, "hands on"
experience in the introduction of the system. Once proven and accepted,
the solution will be rolled out to capture, process, manage and store
all inbound and outbound correspondence for Membership Services - both
paper and electronic. "Users are heavily involved and their response and commitment will
be critical to the success of the project," said Michael Pearce,
IT Manager, UniSuper. "We have constructed a training regime and
measurement process that will prove the suitability of the product beyond
doubt and will commit our users to fully embrace this new method of working." On completion of the first stage of the project in Membership Services,
UniSuper plan to roll the solution out to all other divisions: Investments
and Accounts, Secretarial, IT and Communications. This second stage will
include integration of the system with UniSuper's intranet and internet
sites for capturing online forms, content management and publishing. This
stage is planned for completion by the end of 2001. Objective was selected over competition from Australian and International
companies. "Objective won a very tight race," said Mr Pearce.
"As an organisation they have been very receptive and positive at
all times to our requests and have clearly demonstrated that they are
very customer focused." This new contract illustrates growing demand for Objective's knowledge
and process management solutions beyond its traditional government market. "Our solutions are ideally suited to information intensive organisations
such as those in the financial sector," said Tony Walls, CEO Asia
Pacific, Objective Corporation. "We are pleased UniSuper selected
Objective and we believe that we will provide them with a solution that
will transform their business." -ends-
