stage
Australian enterprise knowledge management software company, Objective
Corporation, today announced a major contract with the British government,
following several recent contract wins with Australian Federal and State
government departments. Objective competed on the international stage to win a contract with
the British government in Northern Ireland, working with the Local Enterprise
Development Unit (LEDU) in Belfast. The recently listed company has established itself as a leading supplier
in the Australian government knowledge management industry. Over the past 12 months Objective has secured contracts valued at more
than $15 million with Australian federal government clients. These clients
include the Federal Attorney General's Department, IP Australia, ATSIC,
the Department of Transport and Regional Services and the Australian Centre
for International Agricultural Research. Objective Corporation is also
working with the Department of Defence where its Objective knowledge management
solutions are being implemented for up to 50,000 users. Tony Walls, Objective Corporation's CEO - Asia Pacific said the contract
marked a breakthrough for Objective in Europe. "With this win, Objective has cemented its mission to be come the
leading supplier globally for enterprise knowledge management in the government
arena. "Governments worldwide require increasingly stringent record keeping
requirements. Objective Corporation has already established a leading
role in being able to provide a product which meets these strict requirements. "LEDU closely evaluated the products on the market before selecting
Objective. Naturally, this is enormously encouraging for our expansion
in Europe and confirms our belief that we have a very bright future there,"
Mr Walls said. LEDU has purchased the full suite of Objective software, including document
and records management, workflow and the Objective Knowledge Portal. "We are extremely pleased that the British government has demonstrated
such faith in both our product and our ability to deliver their solution. "LEDU is an innovative and progressive organisation and this implementation
will be a showcase for our technology," Mr Walls said. LEDU is the Small Business Agency for Northern Ireland. It was established
in 1971 to promote the formation and development of small businesses.
Sponsored by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment it is
the lead agency in Northern Ireland for local economic development. -ends- Related Stories Objective
