2000 Press ReleasesDate: 19th October 2000 Objective Supplies Enterprise Knowledge Management
Platform to Cable & Wireless Optus
Recently listed Enterprise Knowledge Management (EKM) specialist Objective
Corporation (ASX code: OCL), today announced that Cable & Wireless
Optus has become a strategic corporate customer of its new Managed.html
Service. The contract, worth in excess of $1 million, will see Cable & Wireless
Optus using Objective Corporation's Managed.html Service initially within
its Professional Services Group to manage knowledge on major outsourcing
contracts for customers. The product will enable Cable & Wireless Optus to share project knowledge
with its customers by providing them with authorised access to the system. Objective Corporation's Managed.html Service, launched earlier this month,
enables corporate customers to harness the power of Objective Enterprise
Knowledge Management software solutions as an operating rather than a
capital expense. It also frees the customers' in-house IT resources from implementation
and ongoing management since Objective Corporation hosts the service,
tailors it to the needs of individual customers and manages it end-to-end. "We are delighted that, after an extensive review of the market,
Cable & Wireless Optus has chosen to partner with Objective Corporation,"
said Mr Tony Walls, CEO Asia Pacific of Objective Corporation. Objective products continue to gain wide market acceptance as the knowledge
management system of choice in the corporate and government markets. The company's software is already licensed to several major Australian
corporate and government organisations including the Federal Department
of Defence, the Federal Attorney General's Department, Delta Electricity
and biotech company Resmed. - ends - Related Stories Objective
