Objective selected for the Local Government Preferred Supplier Arrangement in Queensland
Objective Corporation (ASX: OCL) today announced it has been appointed to the newly established Preferred Supplier Arrangement (PSA) for Electronic Document and Records Management Systems and Consultancy Services (EDRMS) to Queensland Local Government.
The Contract has been established by Local Buy, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Local Government Association of Queensland Inc (LGAQ), in response to local government purchasing policy and legislative changes, and local government and industry user requirements. Local Buy’s core business is the provision of comprehensive, value-adding procurement services to Queensland local government.
Zeljka Maric, Category Manager , Local Buy said: “The contract will deliver significant benefits to local government organisations embarking on the selection of an EDRMS and associated consultancy services.”
Following exhaustive evaluation and testing of solutions available to Queensland local government agencies, Objective met all of the panel’s core functional and technical requirements for EDRMS software application vendors under the Contract.
“Local government is an important market for Objective. Objective is dedicated to providing relevant solutions that deliver real business outcomes to local government. We have a proven track record of successful ECM implementations in local government across Australia and New Zealand," said Mr Tony Walls, CEO, Objective Corporation.
Redcliffe City Council, Queensland, is one of Objective’s local government customers. Bob Holmes, Chief Executive Officer, Redcliffe City Council said: “As a council we need to manage a variety of information, document formats and access to this information from a corporate perspective. We required a solution that would underpin internal process improvement and fully enable electronic management of information and processes throughout the council.
“Delivering services to the community requires shared access to corporate information organisation-wide. Currently, the search capability that the public have on agendas and reports is extremely limited. With Objective we will be able to expand the delivery of information to the public,” said Mr Holmes.
Objective’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution is used by a range of customers in the state including: Queensland Police Service; Port of Brisbane; Redcliffe City Council; Powerlink; Townsville Port Authority.
“We will continue to work with our customers in this region and provide them with long-term, local service and support. Queensland is a growing region presenting opportunities for Objective to strengthen its presence in the market,” said Mr Walls.
“Objective is committed to our customers and the ECM market. We ensure that our products comply with various state, national and international standards for document management, recordkeeping and ECM, as they emerge,” said Mr Walls.
Objective is also featured on: the Western Australian Common Use Arrangement (CUA) 8005 for the supply of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS); South Australian government’s preferred supplier panels for the provision of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS); and the NSW Government panel contract GSAS ITS 2323, Records and Information Management Systems (RIMS). Its products have been certified against the Victorian Electronic Records Strategy (VERS), the UK National Archives (TNA 2002), and the US Department of Defence military records management standard, US DOD 5015.1-STD, Chapters 2 and 4.
