Objective ECM solution extended by ResMed for global rollout across 18 countries

Objective Corporation (ASX: OCL) today announced that ResMed (ASX: RMD) (NYSE: RMD), one of Australia’s largest manufacturers and exporters of medical respiratory devices, has extended its contract with Objective for a global rollout of its enterprise content management (ECM) solution to 18 countries.

ResMed is a leading developer, manufacturer, and distributor of products for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing and other respiratory disorders. ResMed is a robust and rapidly growing player within its marketplace, its products are distributed in over 67 countries and the company has enjoyed more than ten years of consistent revenue and profit growth.

An Objective customer for more than six years, ResMed has upgraded its existing solution to the latest software release, Objective 7 and extended its use to more than 800 users as a seamless ECM solution across all global manufacturing sites.

It enables continual improvements in the development of our products, it automates and streamlines business processes, and supports our compliance obligation with stringent international regulatory requirements,” said Mr Lionel King, Vice President of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, ResMed.

As ResMed continues to experience international growth, key objectives of the project have been to provide offshore manufacturing sites with parallel global performance, and 24 hour-a-day availability.

ResMed uses Objective to support Regulatory Affairs management, compliance with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and for maintaining their Quality Assurance procedures for manufacturing.

“We have the option of providing our own staff, external contractors, suppliers and distributors information with read-only or authorised access via a fully functional Objective Web based interface,” said Mr King.

The global rollout involved an upgrade to Objective 7 with the use of Objective’s replicated-server technology for high-availability and local network performance. Objective’s professional services team has worked directly with ResMed to provide dedicated design, implementation and training services throughout the rollout.

Moving forward, following the global rollout, Objective Workflow will be used to automate the Quality Assurance process.
