Leading analyst firm positions Objective in Visionaries quadrant for Enterprise Content Management
Objective Corporation (ASX:OCL), a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, today announced that global IT analyst firm, Gartner, Inc. had positioned Objective in the Visionaries quadrant of its 2005 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management, published on 7 November, 20051.
Gartner’s 2005 ECM Magic Quadrant* analyses vendors that participate in the global ECM market, focusing on assessing the vendors and their products’ completeness, maturity and interoperability together with the vendors’ future market viability, which includes financial stability, overall strategy and organisational structure.
Mr Tony Walls, CEO Asia Pacific, Objective Corporation said: “Our position in the Visionaries quadrant is evidence of Objective’s resolute commitment to developing a world-class ECM suite and confirmation of the strength of Objective 7.
“During the past year Objective has welcomed many new customers, achieving growth in all targeted markets. We have achieved a market leadership position in Asia Pacific and continue to be a challenger in Europe.
“Our customers in these geographies consistently emphasise the value of Objective’s customer-centric business model. As educated and discerning buyers of enterprise software applications, customers demand reliable, easy to use, low-risk solutions. Customers recognise our willingness to accept responsibility for end-to-end delivery of solutions as a distinct advantage in forming a partnership with Objective.
“Customers are selecting large scale solutions for enterprise deployment, often across multiple organisations and distributed geographies.
“We continue to meet our customers’ demands through Objective’s robust, single ECM architecture supported by our long-term and very deep experience in implementing ECM solutions for customers and delivering real business outcomes,” said Mr Walls.
The 2005 ECM Magic Quadrant assesses vendors who have $10 million revenue (US dollars) or greater from core ECM components including: document management and library services, web content management, records management, workflow, document imaging and document-centric collaboration. Vendors must also operate in two major geographies.
According to Gartner, Visionaries have a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for that, but they can still improve in terms of optimising service delivery.
